THOSE POLITICAL CONVENTIONS
After some study, a new scientific opinion is forming:
Political hot air has caused an increase in global warming,
radiating from the Cleveland and Philadelphia Conventions
and greatly increasing our temperature tensions,
while any still "huddled masses yearning to be free"*
feel much less inclined when outside the temp is 103.
So here I'll end my perspiring and commiserate tale
hoping cooler heads may soon refrigerate and prevail
and that we also hear less about ideological purity
and more about climate ecology and social security.
