 British politics: Boris  and Brexit

Politics can be a fascinating game
for those who are  dedicated to it 
but for those of us who don't feel  the same 
it can be a slimy and dangerous  pit

in which morality goes to rot 
as selfish egos ever  plot--

but always in disguise
so, if   discovered, it's apparently  a surprise.


Just as Boris Johnson is no Caesar
I'm no Shakespeare, as I  state dryly,

that Victory  often slips to those who seize her
while clever and discreet  enough to stay  wily.
