She gave 4 or 5 encores to an enthusiastic audience She is a beautiful, young --something like mid-twenties – Chinese girl / woman with a beautiful figure that she likes to show off in expensive clothes that don't cover too much. Despite--or perhaps because of - that, she is the real thing musically. Her technique rivals or exceeds her competitors and she is extremely musical as well. She played the notorious Beethoven sonata Opus 106, called the Hammerklavier. It is beyond difficult, but she made it sound easy and even attractive. Among encores. she tackled the equally notorious finger twister that Vladimir Horowitz made out of Bizet's Carmen, as well as another that was its equal of Mozart's Turkish March movement by a composer arranger I missed. These went without mistakes at blazing speed, but she ended with a Chopin waltz/nocturne played with great delicacy.
