Kai Nishikori beats Andy Murray in five sets.
Kei Nishikori beats Andy Murray in five sets
If this were an old Hollywood movie
the ending could be really groovy
as Kei Nishikori goes on to glory
and instead of No. 6 is perhaps now No. 2.
But for Andy Murray the end is gory--
for he must use his racket for seppuku.
Then the audience would rise and march out on a high
whistling the theme song for Bridge on the River Kwai.

What a game. What a performance. What a great match by Kei Nishikori. He was aggressive, smart and did not let the previous statistics jolt his game. There is something to be said about the fact that Murray was his own worst enemy and his temper often gets in the way of his performance but take nothing away from Nishikori...as his stamina and shot selection dominated the battle.
A great match and a great example of relentless tennis. Thanks for tuning in, everyone. Until next time.
