THIS TOO SHALL PASS

THIS TOO SHALL PASS

Aging, it hardly needs commentary

is  essentially involuntary

and, as  with a well made cheese

or else,   giant Sequoia trees

may often be for the better,

though not down to the last letter.

For  even with such as these--

whether or not it will do any better--

there comes a point of saturation

where there is no longer maturation

and more than a hint of desperation ...

to leave things to the next generation.
