The world's most powerful scientific machine was shut down on Thursday... by a weasel.
The Large Hadron Collider, a 17-mile-long particle accelerator located in Switzerland, experienced technical issues after a small animal chewed through a power cable,
according to NPR
The Weasel's Hadron Collider is Out
"The Weasel's Hadron Collider is out!",
the Physicists shout.
Just when it was thought we had it made
we've been put in the shade.
and now our search for The Ultimate Truth
has been sabotaged by a Weasel's tooth.
which is all rather more than odd
since we were seeking the Particle made by God.
But Hold on! Perhaps that's a sign
that there really is a God and He ( or She?) is benign-
ly suggesting this text:
Now that the Weasel is dead
Why not , next ...instead
begin a search for anti-gravity
in some small terrestrial cavity?
and then perhaps it may not be one of those disasters.
However, , since I never even completed my Master's
let alone a Physics PhD
I"ll leave this for thee, and others, to see.
