The Future of Marriage?



The future of marriage?



Now that IBM's Watson has conquered both Chess and Jeopardy,

becoming the current reigning champion of both,

when will it  take on all the myriad problems of matrimony

and attempt to improve a partner's inattention or  sloth?


For  now that everyone wears a computerized gadget

there is no longer need for a spouse to wield a hatchet.

when one can employ the voice of  a wise lady like Siri

to help avert  impending marital  misery .


 I expect that soon  at the top of every couple's wishes,

 or if not,  then at some  early anniversary,

will be a domestic  robot that cooks, cleans and does   laundry and dishes....

....instead of a potentially  complaining adversary.


Yet , after all butlers and maids are eliminated by progress,

what will they  use for interminable family epics on PBS?
