Two More Heroic Women .....in the Bible?

Klimt's explicit 1901 version ofJudith and the Head of Holofernes was shocking to viewers and is said to have targeted themes of female sexuality that had previously been more or less taboo.[1]

The man the godly Deborah supported had a very unusual name, Barack.

Viking women, my ancestors, were not perceived as evil.    The only heroic female in the bible is, I think, Deborah.

Two More Heroic Women .....in the Bible?

I'll skip Deborah and Bara(c)k since I'm am not a biblical scholar,

but once  a lady named Judith  left a man abruptly ending at his collar – –

if that is what the term is--

for cutting off his head, i.e.  of the giant Holofernes.

And,  whether or not the story belongs in  the New or Old Testament,

that-- in either  case--   made it  easier to put  him in a burial vestment

as well as later led to the creation of  great Art out of such doings gory

whether it was really true or merely an  Apocryphal allegory.

And how about Esther, the apple of King Xerxes eye,

who along with her uncle Mordecai

managed to do the  evil  Haman in

as we all?  still remember at Purim.
