The Doomsday Clock
The Doomsday clock doesn't have to be wound
like some big old time piece of yore
and very shortly to explode it is bound
so it's something we must not ignore.
Because we'll all then be covered in blood
as well as radioactive particles
unless, of course, there's also a flood
to sweep us away with our articles.
Only three minutes left for slumbering
tik tok tik tok
a mere 180 seconds numbering
tik tok tik tok
Quick! Better run from the room---
BOOM... DOOM !

It was taller by half than the old man himself
Though it weighed not a pennyweight more
It was bought on the morn of the day that he was born
And was always his treasure and pride
But it stopped, short never to go again
When the old man died
And was always his treasure and pride
But it stopped, short never to go again
When the old man died
Ninety years without slumbering
tik, tlk, tik, tok
His life seconds numbering
tik, tok, tik, tok
It stopped, short never to go again
When the old man died
tik, tlk, tik, tok
His life seconds numbering
tik, tok, tik, tok
It stopped, short never to go again
When the old man died
My grandfather said that of those he could hire
Not a servant so faithful he found
For it wasted no time and had but one desire
At the close of each week to be wound
Not a servant so faithful he found
For it wasted no time and had but one desire
At the close of each week to be wound
And it kept in its place, not a frown upon its face
And its hands never hung by its side
But it… Full lyrics on Google Play
