PBS: still using Wayne Dyer for fund drives

PBS: still using Wayne Dyer for fund drives

I just put on channel 2

hoping to hear a cooking show...

perhaps how to make a fancy stew...

or else some elegant French gateaux.

But instead there was a choir

singing praises of Wayne Dyer

" American philosopher and motivational speaker"

as well as "self-help author"

still plugging away for PBS

although I must confess

that no matter how suave,

such  advice is less persuasive from the  grave*.

*Especially when his  "treatment" for chronic lymphatic leukemia

involved daily exercise, positive thinking, and "psychic surgery"

performed remotely, from Brazil ,as he told Oprah Winfrey--

for whom he was a frequent guest – 2012,

and into which   there now seems no further need to delve

although his family  claims that despite any other rumor

at autopsy they found no trace of tumor

and it appears  he is  still sufficiently   alive 

for PBS to continue to use   on a fund drive.
