Here is one key paragraph from this:

Even though amyloid plaques in the brain are a characteristic feature of Alzheimer's disease, their presence cannot be used to diagnose the disease. Many people have amyloid plaques in the brain but have no symptoms of cognitive decline or Alzheimer's disease. Because amyloid plaques cannot be used to diagnose Alzheimer's disease, amyloid imaging is not recommended for routine use in patients suspected of having Alzheimer's disease.

I  can not begin to pose as knowledgeable in this rapidly growing area of medical research  but it seems to be a very complicated as well as very important problem to solve. Right now, I don't think they are even close. HZL

    RESEARCH STUDIES IN ALZHEIMER'S

Even though  we  have left the Age of  Sigmund Freud

the results have been under par

    without much success so far,

despite already having spent many a buck---

but sometimes, it's just a matter of luck.

So, let us not not further research disparage,

for the answer to an ailing hippocampus
