The Biggest Star at the Clammy's

STARS SOAKED: HEAT BAKES EMMYS

Heat wave bakes Emmys red carpet, but relief (and rain) is on the way

Just in time for the Emmy Awards red carpet, a heat wave descended on Southern California on Sunday, producing record temperatures for the day.
According to the National Weather Service, record high temperatures were posted in Long Beach (99 degrees), Woodland Hills (104 degrees), Camarillo (91 degrees) and Bob Hope Airport (104 degrees).
In downtown Los Angeles -- where stars flocked to the 67th Primetime Emmy Awards at the Microsoft Theater -- the mercury rose to 96 degrees during the afternoon.

The Biggest Star at the Clammy's

Though I am not qualified to comment on TV shows I haven't seen

because  my TV viewing is scanty,

I can see and say  , at least at the awards scene ,

the stars were wearing more than bra and panty

and while their  clothes, with more than   a hint of amorous,

were dramatic  on the  carpet red,

but instead of appearing glamorous,

seemed   hot and sweaty instead.

Perhaps this will serve to correct,

 and as yet another warning,

to remind those who tend to  neglect

that our planet is undergoing global warming.

For, behind Life's every scene,

the  most important Star of all

is, and has  always  been:

El Sol, El Sol, El Sol!

"Melting," said Ryan Seacrest in a tweet. During E!'s red carpet pre-show, actress Allison Janney said that the sweltering heat made this year's ceremony like a session of hot yoga, joking that it was "Bikram Emmys."
But relief is on the way, according to the National Weather Service.
Temperatures are expected to dip on Monday, with downtown L.A. seeing a high of 87 degrees and Burbank a high of 90 degrees. Palmdale will see a high of 94.

Late Monday, a low-pressure system near the coast of the Northern Baja Peninsula is expected to bring possible rain showers and thunderstorms to L.A. County from Monday afternoon to Tuesday evening.
The rainfall could bring flash-flooding to those in the mountains and desert, while recent burn areas could see debris flows from a surge of precipitation.
