RIDING IN THE NYC SUBWAY BIOME


    Worry About Bubonic Plague in Subway? Probably Not

    1. New York health officials contested a finding by researchers who said they had discovered in stations evidence of the deadly disease that ravaged 14th-century Europe.

    2. Have you ever been on the subway and seen something that you did not quite recognize, ...


      1. It seems that the subway microbiome
      2. contains species of which most are unaware
      3. and might wish had stayed at home
      4. since most haven't paid the  fare.

      5. Moreover, though the scientific implications are rather vague,
      6. alarmingly, these include anthrax and bubonic plague. 


      7. Trains originating  from The Bronx are tops in biodiversity
      8. which may be why 
      9. I have yet to die
      10. despite later having  later gone from there  to  a university,
