Maclean's on Angela Merkel
I've racked my brain,
or what's left of it,
to find something amusing about Ukraine
but, if it's there, I'm bereft of it.
It seems the fate of the world may now depend
on a sly, wrinkly lady who speaks both German and Russian,
since no one seems to rely on America to defend
despite its President's ever eloquent gushing.
It's going to take more than an agile tongue
to even begin to right all that's wrong,
and though she never looks that good in jeans,
Ms. Merkel has certainly impressed Maclean's.
